Grants

Our goal is to enhance excellence in undergraduate and graduate education through the development of faculty. CETLSS is proud to facilitate multiple grant opportunities to support effective teaching and learning for student success.

Our Grants

The TQF Grants focus on enhancing the practice, assessment, and/or support of high-quality teaching at Appalachian State, as aligned to App State's Teaching Quality Framework.  Because these grants are aimed at enhancing the teaching culture at App State, we are interested in supporting groups of individuals engaging in this work, such as departments, programs, committees, or interdisciplinary collaboratives.  This grant is perfect for projects like a redesigned peer review of teaching process, departmental professional development, data-based decision-making about student success, or curriculum design/mapping processes.. Up to $3000 per project is available.

Application submissions for 2023-2024 are now closed. Please check back at the beginning of the 2024-2025 school year to make a new submission!

The purpose of the Mountaineer Mentoring Innovation Grants is to incentivize and recognize innovative approaches to faculty career support and mentorship at Appalachian State University. Funds will be granted to faculty groups and/or units for developing programs that support faculty across the career lifeline, particularly pre-tenure faculty. Up to $3000 per project is available.
