VITAL Faculty (Visiting, Instructors, Temporary, Adjunct, and Lecturers)

Approximately 40% of faculty at Appalachian hold full-time or part-time non-tenure track appointments. At many institutions, non-tenure track faculty are denied the same faculty development opportunities as the tenure-track faculty. This is definitely not the case at the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning for Student Success.

If you are interested in joining with other VITAL faculty for the community, career opportunities, and social gatherings, please email Alana Baird at bairdam@appstate.edu to join the VITAL Faculty Community AsULearn page. We use this platform to meet each other, introduce ourselves, and send out announcements to our VITAL Faculty colleagues.

We offer a variety of workshops, conferences, webinars, and other professional development tools for staff, non-tenure track, tenure-track, tenured, and administrative faculty alike.

Visit our workshops and programs page for information on upcoming events.
